Mother Son Date Night, softball upcoming for JPRD

The Jefferson park and recreation department is planning a Mother Son Date Night and a softball clinic.

Boys in pre-school to fifth grade are invited to bring their mother, grandmother, or mother figure to the Mother Son Date Night Friday, March 14, at the Greene County Community Center.

The night of fun will begin at 6 pm with pizza and bingo. After bingo the gym will have music, games and activities until 8:30 pm. Morgan Fredrickson Photography will be on hand to offer optional picture packages at an additional cost.

Tom Kennedy, head Greene County softball coach, will offer a pitching and hitting clinic Sundays, starting March 2.  The clinics for 4th through 8th grade girls will meet at the Greene County Community Center. The pitching clinic will run from 12:30 to 1:30 pm. From 1:30 to 2:30 participants will sharpen their hitting skills.

All girls planning to play softball this spring and summer are encouraged to participate in the upcoming clinics.
